1. WML Structure
The following paragraph governs the structure of WML. This paragraph will discuss in detail the structural component of WML. Entry of the Records into WML is discussed separately in paragraph 2.
There are 5 pages on the WML site:
- Home
- Demonlist
- Stats Viewer (Individual)
- Stats Viewer (Nations)
- Guidelines (The page you are currently reading)
There are 2 tables in the WML Spreadsheet that are not on the site:
1.1. Demonlist
This is the primary WML list. Here are the most hardest achievements on mobile devices in the form of a list of 300 levels, as well as all the verified records attached to each level. The list is sorted by Positions from the hardest Levels at the top to the easiest below.
Levels List Categories
Levels in the Profile are divided according to their Position relative to certain intervals, which are given the following names: #1-#150 - Main List; #151-#300 - Extended List.
What is a mobile device?
What is a Mobile Device in the WML view?
- A device that uses a touch screen as a method of interacting with the user;
- A device that runs on Android, iOS or HarmonyOS operating systems. It was also originally designed for these operating systems by the manufacturer;
- A device that does not use third-party devices to play Geometry Dash (for example, SayoDevice via Type-C directly or a special OTG cable connected to the Device via a USB-C port).

Mobile Device Classification and Determination of Opinions for Positions in Demonlist
The complexity of the same Levels may differ on Mobile Devices and other devices (e.g. PC). This may be due to purely technical reasons, caused by the difference between mobile devices and other devices.
In addition, even the opinions of mobile players can vary widely. As a result, the WML Records are classified into Player Categories:
- Vanilla LRR Record (60hz). Records on 60hz Mobile Devices, without the use of Click on Steps, Click Between Frames and Click Between Steps mods;
- Vanilla HRR Record (90-185hz). Records on 60hz+ Mobile Devices, without the use of Click on Steps, Click Between Frames and Click Between Steps mods;
- Legacy Physics Reocrd (60hz/2.0, 60hz/2.1, 90-185hz/2.1). Records on Mobile Devices made in version 2.11 of Geometry Dash (hereinafter the Game) and earlier;
- CoS Record (60-185hz/CoS). Mobile Device Records, using Click on Steps mod;
- CBF Record (60-185hz/CBF). Mobile Device Records, using Click Between Frames mod;
- CBS Record (60-185hz/CBS). Records on Mobile Devices, using Click Between Steps in Settings.
It is on Player Category Opinions with records using CBS/CBF that Level Positions will be built. This is done not because of discrimination against the players, but because of serious differences in opinions from different Player Categories. However, in the absence or lack of Player Category Opinions from CBS/CBF, there may be exceptions.
Demonlist Score System
For beating through levels, the player receives a certain number of Points which are added to the Player Profiles in the Individual Stats Viewer (see section 1.3). Each Level is assigned a certain number of Points, depending on the Level Position in the Demonlist. At this point, the formula for Points on Levels looks like this:
- For Top 1: Gives 350.00 Points;
- From 1 to 10 Position: the number of points decreases by about 15-20 for each place. (from 350.00 to 194.54);
- From 11 to 25 Position: the rate of decline is slowing down. In 11th place, 182.73 points are scored, and on 25th - 105.24 points (from 182.73 to 105.24)
- From 26 to 100 Position: the fall becomes smoother. In the 50th place, the player receives 64.98 points, and in the 100th - 28.19 points. (from 103.88 to 28.19)
- From 101 to 200 Position: the average point drop is 0.1-0.2 per position. In the 150th place, 18.71 points are scored, in the 200th - 16.26 points. (from 27.85 to 16.26)
- From 201 to 300 Position: minimal reduction. The difference between the 201th and 300th positions is less than one point. (from 16.24 to 15.48)
Placing new levels in Demonlist
New Levels are entered in WML or after Level Beating on Mobile Devices. After which the levels go through the next two processes and are already on the list by means of a special selection.
Selection criteria:
- WML is based on Classic only levels, Level must be built on the Classic game type;
- Level difficulty must be drawn to the difficulty of at least the easiest List Level (#300);
- If 2-Player Mode is enabled in the level, it should serve as a simple addition to any gameplay concept (such as in poocu or GRIEF), and it should be more convenient to go it alone;
- Levels with a minigame concept are completely excluded.
The level must have at least a chance to rate in the game. Please note:
- Level Length is Medium or longer (from 30 seconds);
- The proposed version of a level is official, i.e. recognized by its original creator (except for old versions of levels that were completed before their update, see below);
- Level completed/finished - no any secret way that goes directly to 100%, not currently being building or re-building, not officially coming out in another form and so on;
- Original level - has no stolen elements of decorations, gameplay and so on;
- There are no elements of NSFW, NSFL or similar in the Level, as well as uncensored swear, racist remarks, insults, threats, which applies to both the content and the name of the Level (generally this corresponds to the age limit of the Game itself);
- Level quality scale (including the idea and its realization, composition, use of colors, general combination of objects, etc.) meets modern standards of the Game - compared to the levels that were evaluated at the time of its release;
- If the Level decorations are clearly in the old style (for example, 1.9), it has been correctly redesigned/modernized according to modern Game standards;
- If the gameplay levels are variable (including skips, labyrinths, and mistakenly distinguished gameplay from Low Detail Mode), there aren’t too many Pass options or they don’t differ excessively in difficulty.
If a Level is already rated in the Game, it is considered that all of the above applies to it and it is added to the Selection bypass even if it was previously rejected - this is due to the unpredictability of the Levels rating system in the Game.
List Level Placing Time - up to 2 weeks for Main List and up to 4 weeks for Extended List. Delays to the maximum List Placing time are possible in the absence of a sufficient number of valid Opinions regarding the difficulty of this Level. However, deliveries will usually be made much faster than the deadline.
Updating level position due level update in the Demonlist
If a level already placed get a new version and beat it, the old one is removed from the Demonlist. There are several possible actions:
- If the official Buffdate version of a Level has been beaten with changes affecting its Difficulty, then the Level will be raised in the Demonlist. Player who has beaten the Buffdate version of the level will receive Points for their Completion, and Players Beats of the outdated version will be removed and their Points for Beaten Level will be removed;
- If the official Nerfdate version of a Level has been beaten with changes affecting its Difficulty, his position at the list will lowered. The player who has completed the Nerfdate level version will receive points for their completion, and those who have completed the old version will be deprived of points depending on the difference between the old and new level positions in Demonlist;
- If the changes are minor, both in Nerfdate and Buffdate, the Level Position and Player Score remain unchanged.
In addition, because the List is based on Players' Opinions - these same opinions can often conflict with each other, as a result of which Level Positions may change.
The Demonlist's Records Table
Each Level has a Records Table. Each column contains information about the Record:
- Victor's country's flag;
- Victor's nickname;
- Mobile Device Refresh Rate at which the level was beaten;
- Mark the use of Click on Steps (CoS), Click Between Frames (CBF), and Click Between Steps (CBS) mods if used;
- Game version markup, for Progress in version 2.1 and earlier;
Levels are not accepted after they have been updated;
- Each Record String has a completion video link column at the end.
Level victors are sorted by Cells from the earlier, to the later left on the right. The very first Level Victor gets the status of First (Mobile) Victor but will not appear in the general table with the other records because it will be shown above all along with the video directly (as it works with Level Verifiers in Pointercrate and other demonlists). If First (Mobile) Victor is also a Level Verifier, even then it still gets the status of First (Mobile) Victor in many cases, as the verifier's status in WML is not currently considered.
1.2. Future List
The goal of Future List is to create a List of Potential Completions on Mobile Devices with high concentration of Difficulty, and they may placed in Demonlist. This List does not guarantee that Levels will be sorted in the order of their Difficulty. There are no points for Records on the Future List.
Level Order in Future List
Levels in the Future List are listed in order of Complexity as suggested by Players. Unfortunately, in the Record stage it is problematic for players to name an exact Level Position due to incomplete experience of interacting with a Level, so a Potential Difficulty point was created where players talk between which Levels in the Demonlist this Level can be (between A and B).
Selecting Levels in the Future List
In the Future List are collected Levels that can be beaten on Mobile Devices and, as a result, end up in the Demonlist. The criteria for placing a Level in the List are:
- Level corresponds to Difficulty of Levels from Main List (Top-75 Demonlist);
- There is a verified Record at least 55% of the Level. Records not made from 0% are also accepted;
- Level matches the Demonlist's Selection Criterias (see Section 1.1 Selecting Levels in Demonlist).
Record Cells in the Future List
The system is similar to the Record Table in Demonlist, but it is intended for Records and is on Google Sheets rather than on the website, which will make it slightly different. Accordingly, the percentages of Record itself are added directly to all the above listed in Section 1.1. And instead of First Victor there is a column with Best Run, where the World Record is listed on the Mobile Device in percentage. Records can be either 0% or a certain percentage Level (for example, 34-90%).
1.3. Individual Stats Viewer
Stats Viewer (Individual) is the List of Best Mobile Players. Points were selected by an objective comparison method.
WML's Points System
Points can be earned for Level Completion from Demonlist (see Item 1.1). All Player Points are added together. Player positions in the list are sorted by the Points amount from highest to lowest.
Personalization Options
- Choice of Nickname. Latin, Arabic numerals and space only. 2 to 24 characters. Is unique and does not mislead other users by associating with other players. Does not contain uncensored swear, racist and political statements, insults, and so on. The decision on the advisability of changing Nickname is finally taken by the WML Staff Representative;
- Flag selection. Only the flags of countries officially recognized by the UN. You can choose a flag based on your nationality. You can choose a flag or not at all. The choice of the flag determines the behavior of the Nations Stats Viewer;
- To change Nickname or Flag - write to the WML Team Representative. You can change Nickname and Flag no more than once every 3 months. Exception: Changes made by mistake.
1.4. Nations Stats Viewer
Stats Viewer (Nations) is the List of Best Mobile Nations. Points were selected by an objective comparison method.
What is the relationship between the Individual Stats Viewer and Nations
The player in the Stats Viewer (Individual) has a Flag on the Profile. The player can mainly choose flags of countries officially recognized by the UN. You can choose a flag based on your citizenship or nationality. You can’t choose a flag at all.
Thus, the Flag is an indicator of a Player’s choice of their Nation, resulting in their Points being added to the Stats Viewer (Countries) list by a special system.
How are points counted in the Nations Stats Viewer
Unlike the system from Individual Stats Viewer, in Nations Stats Viewer points are summed by special. Points are only awarded for 1 Level Completion. If a Level has been completed by two or more players of the same Nation, then Points are not awarded again for beating through the Level. Points have the ability to be summed up. Since this site is a Pointercrate's Fork, this system applies here as well.
The Nation's positions on the List are sorted precisely by the Amount of Points from the highest to the lowest.
1.5. Pending List Changes
Any new Level takes time to be added to WML for some reason or other. Pending List Changes was created to show that the level was noticed.
Changes in Level Positions
Any Level Position depends on the Player’s Opinion of the Level Difficulty. Every future Level Position Update in WML is reported in the Pending List Changes. 5 Level Positions Add/Change statuses are possible:
- the level that is projected to be added to the WML;
- the level that is unknown projection in WML;
- the level is projected to be raised in the WML;
- the level is projected to be lowered in the WML;
- the level is projected to be added to the Future List.
Completed level reshuffles are marked with a special Flag in the required Cell and remain on Pending List Changes for another week.
1.6. Pending Records
Record Accepting Process
Any record requires time for a Legitimacy Check. Therefore, there is this system:
- Once the Request is filled out in the Record Submitter by the Player, the Request itself passes into the hands of the WML Staff Representative. He marks the Record as Under Consideration and the Request is added to the Pending Records;
- The Legitimacy Check process begins immediately. At the end of the Consideration, the Request either obtains the status of an Added Record (respectively it appears in WML) or a Rejected Record (respectively it is not added in WML);
2. Adding Record to WML
You have become familiar with the Demonlist Structure and want to submit your achievements. However, this is where the most difficult procedure in WML - Setting New Records - begins, which can create the greatest number of difficulties when operating a project. This paragraph was created to streamline and regulate the process as much as possible.
Section 2.1 describes the requirements for entering WML. Section 2.2 helps to find compromises in the difficulties of going through the procedures described in Section 2.1, as well as recommendations and warnings for Players. Section 2.3 describes the potential consequences of attempting to deceive WML Staff.
2.1. Requirement for Proof of Authenticity
How to Submit Record in WML?
To submit your record, use the form on the site’s navigation panel. When the Record is rejected, the player receives a notification in private messages with the reason for rejection and general recommendations.
List of Required Proof of Record Authenticity
Before submitting the Record, it is necessary to review the List of Required Proofs of Authenticity as well as the Requirements for Records to ensure that the Record being submitted complies with them; otherwise, it will be immediately rejected, even before the Hacking verification stage:
For all levels:
Video of a record attempt that:
- Meets or exceeds the preferred minimum quality - at least 720p 50fps (a minimum of 480p 50 FPS or 720p 30fps is possible when Additional Evidence is provided, see below);
- Uploaded on a public video sharing media, accessible to people of all ages (YouTube, Twitch, Bilibili, RuTube and similar, can be accessed Unlisted);
- Does not directly violate the rules of video hosting itself, as well as the legislation of the state in which it is based;
- Owned by the owner of the Record;
- Can contain elements of assembly (trimming, blur, etc.) designed to conceal personal information
Player or any kind of prohibited symbol; in this case, the Player undertakes to upload the unedited video/raw footage with access via the link and attach it to the field for notes (the raw footage record is also accepted), but the WML Staff Representative has no right to disclose all such information, which the Player decided not to show.
The sound of taps that:
- Clearly heard throughout the Record attempt;
- Recorded by physical microphone;
- May be partially or completely excised from the video recording of the Record Attempt, in which case the Player undertakes to upload the raw footage at least with access to the link and attach it - in the field for notes (an raw footage record is also accepted);
- Show the Cheat Indicator in the corner of the screen throughout the Record attempt;
OR
- Display of the Cheat Indicator on the winning window (in this case it becomes mandatory to go there);
+ TO THIS FOR LEVELS FROM TOP-150 DEMONLIST:
The original unedited Record (Raw Footage) Record that:
- Uploaded to cloud storage (Google/Yandex Drive, MEGA, MediaFire, Dropbox but not YouTube or any Video Hosting Platform!), access must be open to anyone who has a link;
- Lasts preferably 3-7 minutes longer than the length of the Level; however, if the file is too large, the WML Staff Representative can provide their own disk on Google Drive with an extended limit, just write about it to any of them.
List of Additional Proof of Record Authenticity
It is not uncommon for this Evidence to be found to be insufficient for one reason or another, such as in the case of Suspicion of Hacking (see Section 2.3), so there is a List of Additional Evidence that will help you prove its legitimacy:
- FPS counter in the corner of the screen;
- CPS counter in the corner of the screen;
- Show Real Time in the corner of the screen
- Included Show Hitboxes on Death;
- Handcam (camera facing the Mobile Device in the hands of the Player);
- Input Overlay;
- Raw Footages for non top-150 Levels;
- Individual conditions that the WML Staff Reviewer will set. For example, a liveplay in Discord’s voice chat.
The Moderator shall have the right to demand and/or require that any of the Cited Evidence be made available on an ongoing basis as he or she deems appropriate, and it is recommended that you always be prepared to do so. Failure to provide Additional Evidence will normally result in the rejection of the Record.
2.2. Policy of tolerance and relaxation
There are a variety of record recording options, third-party software for the game and even some in-game conditions, but not all of them are considered allowed to set records. The following list presents a clear distinction between permitted and prohibited, and to avoid unexpected problems, players are strongly encouraged to review it carefully and ensure that the record is set without using prohibited funds.
Allowed recording options
- Classic screen recording using software (xRecorder, Mobizen, and similar) - a recommended option for any level on the list. However, some apps for recording can programmatically split footages (such as Mobizen). In that case, their use is not recommended, because in the event of a record split - literally halfway through a winning attempt - the moderator will have the right to reject the record. Unfortunately, mobile devices are poorly optimized for record, so the following are recommendations for optimizing mobile devices
- Screen recording on a third-party camera is accepted if what happens on the screen is clearly visible, including the necessary indicators - an appropriate option if the player has a weak device. However, we may require additional evidence in case of poor quality of the record. We recommend using the option with a classic screen recording via software
- The recording of a stream can be accepted as a video attempt (preferably with a timecode), but not as an raw footage - the player must record in parallel with the stream, save the file to the device’s memory and then upload it to a cloud storage.
- Individual taping on a third-party device microphone (such as a dictaphone) in a video package is accepted as raw footage
Mobile Device Optimization Recomendations
Unfortunately, mobile devices can be quite weak. As a result, setting records can be problematic. Here is a list of recommendations for optimizing mobile devices:
- Enable flight mode on the device. After that, clean the device’s memory. To do this, we recommend disabling all background processes and leaving only the working game and app for screen recording
- Reduce the quality of game textures in graphics settings
- Use Low Detail Mode version of levels (e.g. "Astral Divinity LDM"). By deleting glows, details, unnecessary objects (especially moving ones), adding the Pixelate trigger and other optimization methods. In that case, the operating memory of devices would not be so heavily overfilled. However, LDM versions of the levels may not be valid in case of major simplifications of playing levels (see below);
- Set up a screen recorder. In combination with the above, even on the weakest device, it is possible to achieve fair quality with relatively good performance when properly configured. However, the recording quality should not be lower than 720p 50fps to make it readable
- Use the Click Between Steps or Geode Click Between Frames/Click on Steps setup. Makes the game more comfortable and stable, which is especially useful with lower FPS
Third-party game interference
This section details the permitted and prohibited types of third-party interference in the gameplay. The full list of permitted and prohibited hooks and mods is available here.
Software that distorts the gameplay is prohibited. These include:
- GDBot in any form and any other reproduction of pre-recorded macros;
- Noclip and any similar utility that modifies the character’s interaction with hitboxes (equals using built-in Ignore Damage if a player sets a record on their level copy);
- Speedhack and the like (this is equated with abuse of the Smooth Fix function);
- Any other utility that affects game physics or physical constants, such as Speed or Gravity; this includes utilities like Physics Bypass, TPS Bypass, and others that affect game physics in a similar way; also, Click Between Frames does not fall under this rule, because its influence on physics extends only to individual frames and is not subject to the conscious control of the player;
- Any machinations intended to intentionally ease the level - be it an implicit change by the player (see below);
Software that makes cosmetic changes should not simplify the game or affect gimmick performance. Thus:
- Mini Cube Icon, No Portal Lightning, RGB Icons, Trail Always Off and similar allowed;
- No Hide Trigger, No Mirror, No Camera Move/Zoom, Show Hitboxes, Show Layout, Show Trajectory and the like during a record attempt are banned;
- Abusing Hide Pause Menu, Trail Always On, No Shaders, No Particles, Pause Countdown and other level mods are prohibited;
- Textures-packs that alter the settings, make it easier to understand hitboxes and/or read the necessary indicators, as well as external shaders that change the game schedule during the attempt are prohibited.
Any software that does not create an unfair advantage and is intended only to increase the convenience of the game process is allowed:
- everything that does not directly affect a record attempt: Show Hitboxes on Death, StartPos Switcher, Death Tracker, Quests in Pause and the like;
- everything that helps in level training - whether it’s Noclip Accuracy, Speedhack, Show Hitboxes or anything else - is allowed beyond the record attempt;
- everything that improves the player’s technical interaction with the game without distorting the essence of the gameplay: Click Between Frames and similar.
Level changes by the player on their own copy or in the original with Level Edit (whether for Bugfixes or Low Detail Mode amplification) are allowed as long as they do not create a noticeable level nerf. The general provisions are as follows:
- Allowed to remove attempt statistical significance unnatural enhancers (in particular, this includes any bugfixes of automatic parts of the level, removal of Click Between Frames blockers from levels, bugfixes of primitive gameplay elements such as ball attachment to the ceiling or slopes that have changed or become impossible in 2.2);
- Allowed to add song triggers to restore syncing of music with gameplay if there is no impact on the gameplay;
- Not allowed strong low detail mode for memory levels (super probably level, Requiem, and the like) or LDM, which makes the level look more like a layout version than the original;
- Intentional facilitation of the level is prohibited (by moving saws, spikes, entire structures and more; equates to using software that distorts the essence of the gameplay!);
All other changes the player must discuss with the team on the list to avoid unexpected problems.
2.3. Concepts of Cheating/Hacking and possible Punishments
Concepts of Cheating
Cheating refers to the abuse of a Soft that distorts the Essence of the Game Process, as well as any act of Forgery of Proof of Authenticity - whether it is the placement of taps, trimming, stealing of someone else’s video, and all other schemes designed to pass an unfair record for genuine.
Suspicion of cheating
In the event of a Player’s Suspicion of Cheating, the WML Team Representative has the right to reject the Record and demand and/or require the provision of Additional Proof of Authenticity on an ongoing basis. If the Suspicion of Cheating is confirmed or not dispelled for any reason, a decision will be made to Punish the Player.
Punishment for Cheating
First Punishment. Ban in WML with subsequent removal of all Records for 6 months. Records may be reversed if the Legitimacy of Records is confirmed.
Second Punishment. A permanent ban. Player’s return to WML is possible only in very exceptional situations.
3. WML Staff
This block of rules contains information about WML Staff Technical Support, including the roles and responsibilities of WML Staff, as well as the ethical standards that Staff must follow when interacting with Players and responding to requests.
WML Staff Structure
- List Owner: Nanobyte
- List Administrator: minelo, Eagny
- List Moderator: Mateex, pqua, Cyberkot, vkrz, Ak1Mizu
- List Helpers: Kunakov
WML Staff Commitments
Since WML Staff members are representatives, there are strict rules regarding their behavior:
- Neglect of duty without good cause is prohibited;
- Abuse of authority in the personal interest of others is prohibited;
- No harm may be caused directly to WML;
- It is forbidden to show any hostility or intolerance towards Players in public places;
- You may not disclose the personal information of Players that is trusted by WML Staff by providing additional proof of Record authenticity, personal correspondence with a Staff Representative, or in any other way.
In the event of a breach of any of the above, the Player may report this directly to the List Owner.
In response to these rules, players are also asked to show respect and tolerance for the WML Staff - any insult or provocation may result in the justified refusal of a member of the Staff to respond to the player’s requests, and they have the right to do so.
